Tiger Brands acquires Bromor Foods for
R1,16 billion
Tiger Brands concluded one of its largest transactions in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods market, with the R1,16 billion acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Bromor Foods (Pty) Limited (“Bromor”) from Cadbury Schweppes.
 
Growth and reinvestment into existing core brands, transformation and continuous improvement will be key focus areas for Tiger Brands over the next five years, helping to ensure that Tiger Brands achieves its objective of delivering consistent and superior returns for its shareholders for the period through to 2010 and beyond.

Acquisition of ClassiClean by Tiger Brands
ClassiClean manufactures and sells washing powders under the “Bio-Classic” brand as well as home care, air care and sanitary care products under the “Classic” and “Crystal ” brands. These brands provide Tiger Brands with the opportunity of expanding into a new market sector, being the fabric care market.

Tiger Brands acquires Nestlé Southern African Sugar Confectionery Portfolio
The sugar confectionery portfolio of Nestlé includes such well-known brands as “Jelly Tots” and “Wilsons”. The purchase of the sugar confectionery portfolio involved the acquisition of plant and equipment and trademarks.
